DENVER, COLORADO Grand Master Vaile granted a dispensation to 43 Master Masons in Denver on January 15, 1925, to open and form a Lodge to be called George Washington Lodge U. D. This was one of four lodges that were granted dispensations at this time.
DENVER, COLORADO East Denver Lodge No. 160 had its beginning as a Masonic Club which was formed on October 3, 1923 and met in the basement of the Clayton Community Church at 28th and York Streets. Eventuaily the gymnasium of the church, after a few necessary alterations, became the home of the lodge.
